Hi, i am fitting a clifford alarm to my 348 and i was struggling with the connection of one of the wires that has to go to one of the injectors. The alarm needs a pulse so it knows the engine is running. rather than running a wire over to one of the injectors which would look tatty, i thought i would connect it behind the seat directly in to the loom for the motronic module. My problem is that the colours of the wires at the injectors are solid colours but most of the wires going into the module are striped!
i realise that they either go somewhere else first or change colour at a connector or somthing. It doesent matter which injector i connect to as long as it is the switching side of one of them. Can anyone confirm that 8 of the stripy wires do infact go directly to the injectors and can anybody tell me what colour wires they have now become at the plug. Thanks to all thaose that read this. Frazer

If you have an early 348 (Motronic 2.5) the colors are as follows. I do know the ECU plug pins remain the same, so I'll list them for you (I'm doing both banks as I don't know which you are picking., electrically Cyl 1 on bank 1 = Cyl 5 on bank 2 and so on):
    Color
    Injector In(sig) Out(Gnd) ECU Pin
    Cyl 1 White/Red Green/Black 17
    Cyl 2 Blue/White Green/Black 34
    Cyl 3 Yellow/Red Green/Black 16
    Cyl 4 Yellow/Black Green/Black 35
    Cyl 5 White/Red Green/Black 17
    Cyl 6 Blue/White Green/Black 34
    Cyl 7 Yellow/Red Green/Black 16
    Cyl 8 Yellow/Black Green/Black 35

For the later 348 (Motronic 2.7) I don't have the color codes, though the pins are the same for the same injectors.

Sorry, F-Chat maintenance cut off my message.

The wires going into the injector are protected by a solid black conduit. You need to pull back the rubber sheath on the actual plug, and pull back the cable conduit. You should see the same wire colors at the injector. Regardless, if you take it straight from the pins (colors and pins labeled below) you'll be sure the signal is right.

I'm in London. Are you fitting a thatcham approved immobilizer? I need to do the same... can you give me the details of yours?

Yes i am fitting a thatcham approved alarm and immobilizer, its the clifford 650 G5 CONCEPT MKII along with the Intellistart module for the ultmate show off! check it out on the net, its a really cool programable bit of kit, does loads of neat tricks, easy to set up for your own preferences. Shuts the windows really fast as well! ( i do have a pair of my window boosters fitted though ) ferrariwindow.com :)

Hi Ernie! i have been busy doing weddings with my business partner, its groomswheels.co.uk its become very popular as there doesn't seem to be many or any services offering 2 matching Ferraris that take the best man and groom to the wedding here in the UK. we have 14 weddings this year, i know that's not that many but i have a normal job also, this just pays for my servicing.... and pocket money lol.. Hows everything your end?

That's a clever business. I bet the word of mouth spread fast, especially after the first drop off.

Everything is going well for me thanks.

I have successfully transported up to three women at once in the Mondial... We share engines and gearboxes, why not weddings?

Did you get the workshop manual downloaded?

Hi, are you local enough to join us? Just looked at your location, London is too far :( we only transport the best man and groom ( groomsWheels.co.uk) we don't think its very dignified for the brides to climb in with their possibly large dresses, plus there is so many companies that do bride and groom already. If we were asked to take a bride, we would gladly accept! but its not how we market our services.

Yes I downloaded it and it has come in VERY handy, thank you very much for uploading it for me. Give me a shout if I can return the favour.
