Does anyone know the story about these two 348s at Collision JSL in Saint-Denis de Brompton? Here's the link to their website:

I talked briefly to a company rep about the '90 TB, but the insurance company had given him no information about the car when he bought it. Nice rims, the interior looks clean, and the damage to the body doesn't seem too bad. Probably needs the timing belt service though.

Todd - Interesting how your former car made it all the way from one end of the country to the other! Could you provide some details as to how the insurance company determined your car was a write off? Were they pricing the required parts at full Ferrari retail and labour at >$100/hr? The damage at the driver's door pillar doesn't look too bad but it is probably one of the most complicated areas to repair properly on any car, so I'm sure they were conservative with the labour hour estimate. Thanks.

Vasco & Dan - You make a good point on the minimal monetary increment to just drive away in a clean, no-stories car. I already have too many car projects, and am also renting two extra garage spaces to keep the running cars. Dan, I just went through your thread on your 348 project - very impressive, especially since you did it in a relatively short period of time. I've gone through my Carrera, but a couple items a year for the past decade instead. At the end, it's nice to have the familiarity with the car and know it has been properly maintained and can be enjoyed worry-free.

Who the heck buys a ferrari thats been involved in an accident or has been hit ?
IMO, A ferrari is only worth something if it's all original.

I would buy a 360 for $60,000 and drive it, who cares what its worth if your going to keep it.

Things change in peoples lives thats why its good to buy something original just in case you gotta sell it.. you never know.

If you're gonna keep it then, wouldnt it be wise to buy a nice example then ?

    The long way home
If you buy right, there shouldn't be an issue whether the car is clean and original or a salvage. You know what they say - there's an ass for every seat.

Apparently he's getting calls from everywhere for these cars... the 92 is apparently sold and the 90 he thinks will sell today...

I called to see if he'd sell me some of the parts... like that center CF console piece...

BE AWARE that cars passing title via quebec can be VERY suspect

For years titles were washed in the waters of the St Lawrence only to be clean on the other side

Don't know if they cleaned up the process yet but it was pretty loosy goosy for a long time

I heard this same sort of thing while I was looking for my first Ferrari, not just limited to salvage titles either.
