So I checked everything on my ICV in terms of operation and all checked out OK, but figured the only way to see if it's actually working is to remove the engine cover and perform a video!

The last two runs were at WOT or just shy of it but definitely past the 72 degree throttle opening requirement of the throttle position switch. This switch tests OK also.

Has anyone else done investigation of this type before?

Next step is to wire a SDL up to the solenoid to see if it's getting a signal from the ECU.

Not while driving, but while on the dyno. The ICV is suppose to open between 3500-5500rpm.

    Nice vid btw.

You will want to check the condition of your vacuum tubing, their connections, the icv solenoid, and the vacuum boost canister.

I will check the vacuum tubing again but 90% sure thats OK since Im running a remote controlled exhaust valve from the same vacuum storage canister.

I'm in doubt about the connector on the solenoid valve because when I bought the car it didnt have any of the solenoid or vacuum canister fitted so I installed this and connected to an appropriate looking connector lurking in the LHS bank fuel rail harness. There is a similar connector on the RHS still tied into the harness presumably the same thing just from the other ECU?

It was the ICV solenoid vacuum connections, I got them on the wrong ports!

Anyway here's a satisfying video of it working :D
