I was going to install a theft preventing kill switch under the drivers side dash, that breaks the circuit from the ignition to the starter. I've looked at the electric schematic and it looks like the white wire coming from the ignition switch is a ground and the one to switch. There are 2 blue and 1 brown wires there also, but I think the white one is the right one. Anybody ever done this or know if this correct?

Yup, heavy gauge white wire coming from switch to the 8 pin connector. Two white wires leaving the connector. One wire goes to the starter solenoid and the other goes to what the manual calls the "test device for warning light 131". That is the warning light for brake pad wear and oil pressure. I can't recall that light coming on during cranking but I will look. It looked like the two white wires were of different size and I'm betting the larger one is the solenoid. That wire travels through the fuse box and a connector rigidly mounted to the frame in the left rear. I just so happen to have the steering column plastic pieces removed for refinishing so it was easy to take a look.

    Thanks Mark.

I can switch the one white wire coming directly from the ignition switch before the connector, right?

It's a 12V feed to the starter and I would probably remove the pins from the connector and purchase the needed hardware so as not to disturb the original wiring by cutting it. I'm weird like that but if you have to cut and splice I'd probably do it on the ignition switch side. Intent criminals are good at finding switches around your steering column so there is also the option of hiding a switch around the passenger side fusebox conection or even in the engine compartment.

could you also pull a fuse, like the fuel pump fuse or something? Kinda backwoods, but seems like it could work.

You could but that involves going under the passenger foot rest and a lot more hassle. i was looking for something readily available and quick, because I want security when i'm parked for just a short time like going out to dinner or cocktails, not for long term.
