overall condition, or so it seems. Shop I take mine to from time to time does full rotisserie restoration for Ferrari etc, they say mine is unusually nice that most 348's they see are pretty rough as well. So its not just se saying that.

 

My mommy says in the handsomest too.

 

I suspect the photoshoot under the big Chimera is the major factor. Look how "pedestrian" the car looks with the iphone shots in the alley. Anyway, nice car and I'm certainly thankful for buying when I did.

 

Look through the photos of the white one just listed. That's how many, probably most look.

It’ll go for over what was paid last time. By how much… I’m dying to see. It looks amazing. If odometer read 5k mikes I’d believe it.

Ps, black side skirts on 348s look awful. Why they ever thought it was a good idea boggles my tiny mind.

Well, I would agree with you but then we would both be wrong .

 

Stone chips in paint looks worse is why I suspect. Oddly enough seems when looking for the cars the black is prized as being original. Looks worse? Yes I agree on that point. Painting them, probably worse as you have to add paint to doors etc to blend it. I asked Braden about it and basically they said leave them alone, requires too much new paint on older faded paint etc. I suspect some shops just tape them off and let it rip.

BTW the new owner also painted the top. That I agree with but it can get chipped taking on and off and storing etc.

 

I defy you (in a friendly way) to find a public sale of a non painted 348 going for more than a similar condition painted 348 at a similar point in time.

You can scroll though prior auctions and see. It's a bit mixed but people don't pay more because the valance is painted. It more about car and condition. Also time frame and whos in the market at a given time.

Which in non-studio, real-world lighting comes off as gray. But yes, a playful response to an equally-eye rolling declaration. If you like painted sills, good for you.

I should have better thought through my statement: a 348 with FACTORY PAINTED sills will always sell for more (be more desirable) than an equivalent unpainted car (save for MY of course).

Any earlier car that’s been painted suffers from the fact it has been irreparably altered from stock.

That is not "goo" but tape that was applied to all early cars. Much like the center body tape line.
