That makes sense. There are several 1989 examples on BaT that have sold and have the black tape there.

Seller was remiss with his reserve. Should have been a 100k car.

BaT really screwed him over with the auction end day and time too.

No, the seller sets it with BaTs approval. If you request a reserve that’s too high they will refuse to list it, however.

I am the new owner of that 94. I agree I was at the right place at the right time. I had bid and lost on a dozen so I was thrilled to land this one. I will browsing here looking for helpful information. My first Ferrari. It will be next to my Esprit and NSX. All from the mid 90's

Agree. But euro car was a bit of a ghost histroy-wise. On the other hand it was a slick top. Not sure which I would have chosen

The deal of the year still goes to that spider for under $70k.

Love this one. I think the market is about 92ish on something like this, but that best case with buyers looking at the time. I fear it will hammer closer to 80. We'll see.

It’s an interesting thing. Possibly a 1-of-1 spec, plus low miles and great condition; but man, to my eyes it just doesn’t work. Maybe in person it’s better, but that color is far better suited to a 400/456 than a sports car.

Red is popular for a reason. Blue, yellow, silver all look great to me. But not this.

I’m definitely not making any predictions!

Color is great, the blue top not so much, that color looks great on a TS.

For what it's worth, the 348 in the second link above looks more like Grigio than Canna di Fucile, which reads warmer/darker when viewed in the sunlight.
