Is there anywhere online that lists comprehensively the work to be carried out during the minor and major services? I don`t think that my owner`s literature covers this much detail, and I am interested to know exactly what is on the menu for the services, and more precisely if I am prepared to spend a big wadge of dosh to a dealer when a competent person could possibly do the work themselves. Obviously the dealer stamp is then missing, but as I intend keeping the car for an ice age am not that bothered in this respect.

    Cheers, Geoff

the minor service is a check levels belts pressures and replace some fluids deal, any semi competant person should be able to do it in a Saturday afternoon,
Do you have the owners manual if not download it from owners.ferrari.com

    Geoff,

For a minor service, I had Kevin Martin in S****horpe will do the work. They specialise in Porsches, Mercs, BMs, Jag and have any some nice exotic's in like ferraris, maseratis etc.

I bought the oil, filters, plugs etc and they fitted them. They have worked on Ferraris before mostly on 348's, tessa and a 456 they look after. In all it cost me £70.00 labour. They allow you to be in the garage when they are working on it. Their mechanics are excellent.

I printed off a Ferrari service work schedule and they worked to the schedule. They ticked and signed each item and stamped the schedule and service book.

The Ferrari service schedule is listed in the owners manual.

Only a suggestion. I do trust their workmanship...

    Andrew/Justin,

Thanks for the responses. I`ll be using Kevin as they seem pretty good from what I hear and the price is right ;-) For that sort of money I don`t think I`ll bother getting me hands mucky!!!

Like you Justin I will obtain the parts first and just let him do the biz.

    Cheers guys... Geoff
