Hello everyone! This is my first post here. I recently sold my 2020 911 Carrera 4S. I loved the car but felt it had no personality, and I desperately wanted something more analog and with real soul. So after several months of work I found a 1991 348 TS with 10k miles. I bought it to drive it, and enjoy it, as opposed to garage it, and I’ve already fallen head over heels for it. However that gorgeous engine doesn’t have the opportunity to sing the way I feel it should. I want to put an exhaust and probably high flow cats on it. However, I don’t want anything that howls too wildly loud. I’ve heard the capristo stage 3s and they sound amazing but I don’t want that much! It’s hard to find a stage I sound online. Does anyone have any recommendations for a medium noise exhaust? I’ll also be dropping in a K&N filter this weekend, and I heard you can gain a little more power by removing “blue plastic disks”. Is this a thing or a weird rumor? Thank you so much for everyone’s time and energy!

I just did a Tubi (quiet) and high flow cats. Sounds pretty good.
However; I have the Tubi (loud) with hyper flow cats on my Mondial T Coupé and it’s just glorious.

Hi Jack and welcome to the 348 experience. I have a Nuvolari "sport" exhaust on my 348 Spider. I believe these are just rebranded Superformance exhausts from England as that's where mine was shipped from. I live out in East Mesa if you ever want to hear it. I'm quite happy with it. I've had just about all the other makes in the past and they all have their pluses and minuses.

That's because Nouvolari is based in the UK. :)
    They are not Superformance.

Interesting as I purchased a Superformance exhaust from Ferrparts. I believe it was Ferrparts, it's been a long while and it was an exact replica of my Nouvalari. Well, the one that came from Nouvalari fit whilst the Superformance one had to be sent back to Cal. Very strange I'd say.

He will be referring to the blue caps on the MAF bodies which cover the CO trim adjusters.
