I wennt ahead and removed the footwell panels from both sides. I had the passenger side seatbelt mouse pull to the rear position then shut the ignition off and turned the battery off. I then found the seatbelt ECUs under the center console. The rear plug is the passenger side, the forward plug is the drivers side.
When pulling the seatbelt ECU, it is a hinged connection and you wont get it off by pulling the plug directly back. The front one hinges upward and the rear plug hinged downward on my car.
After pulling the ECU plugs, I turned the battery back on and restarted the car. Then after confirming the passenger one was off, I turned the battery back off, I reinstalled the front (drivers) ECU plug. I then turned the battery back on and restarted the car. VOILA! the drivers side which had been stuck and inoperable/unmoveable, returned to the normal position and worked perfectly.
I then went back through letting the mouse reach the rear position, shut down the car, switch battery off, unplug FORWARD ECU plug, battery back on, restart car. Both seatbelt motors are now in the most rear position. No seatbelt light, no more moving them so I can just clip in/out.
I hope this may help someone out.
I took a few pics in the dark showing the ECUs and the plugs undone.
