348 Nippon Denso Alt. Part # or What other cars it fits/

    I checked my 348 and found out that I have the Nippon Denso alternator. I know what cars the Delco fits but what other cars does this alternator fit? It must fit something else right or is the only option to get it rebuilt? Thanks.

    Richelson, most any local alternator shop can rebuild the stock unit for a fair price.

    Yes but is there another car that uses the same alternator? On my 30K receipt the PO paid way too much for a rebuild. I have a local shop that can rebuild it from $70-$125. Not bad but if I can get one at Autozone or the like and have it I would rather go that route. I personally don't want to remove it just to take it to match it up at Autozone if someone knows what type of car it fits.

    Search the archives in the old site, as this has come up before...someone was trying to buy a new one from other than an FNA source, and was trying to find out what else it fit...unfortunately, IIRC the person ended up going around in circles with Nippondenso....
