Like Ernie my radiators went to the graveyard a few weeks ago. We have come up with 2 replacement options I thought I would post here. First is using copper and brass built custom radiators. They are $700.00 for both. Custom built with install mounting points etc. The second is a set of TIG welded custom aluminum racing radiators from Saldana racing. The pair will be built in 4-6 days and shipped for $1200.00. Which is about half the cost of just the small oem radiator. I dont like throwing more money at a problem but decided to go with the aluminum rads as the consensus was the welded casings would be much less likely to fail than the soldered or moulded ones. I understand that 18 years on a Ferrari radiator isn't bad but I think the peace of mind may be worth it? Any opinions??
I'll post photos as they come in. My old leakers were shipped to Indy today so Saldana racing can have them on their hands for the build

Sounds like you may have been hit with the Ferrari tax? The quotes I was getting were about $500 for the big one and $300 or so for the little one.

I should have pointed out that the pricing was for BOTH radiators to be custom built not the price of each. $700 for BOTH in brass and copper, $1200 for BOTH TIG welded aluminum racing radiators.
We thought the aluminum would be cheaper, but they said for the large radiator they already have a frame and core size for race cars that is similar, the smaller one they have to make from dimensions.

I tried to attach a few photos. there was a coolant puddle coming out from under the drivers side of the car when my wife and son came out of a store. my son opened the door and could see a very small spray stream coming from the radiator in the second louvered section from the bottom. He looked closer and found a marble size sharp rock sitting just below and guessed that the rock somehow shot into the radiator with enough force to puncture one of the tubes. Had the car towed home and I will pull the radiator this morning. It looked pretty clean, but who knows, I've only had the car 6 months and I expect it's the original. I'll take it to a shop to inspect. results to follow.
