how tight do you have to tighten the oil cap on the dry sump? i still have oil residue , after cleaning it and tightening extra hand tight. do i need a new cap, or gasket?

Sounds like something isn't right in the blow-by. The top of my oil cap is usually dry (except for the measurement portion of the dipstick). Pressures and temp seem normal? The oil filler on a 348 is multiple pieces:

    Cap
    Gasket
    Washer
    Nut (3)?
    Stick

    A fresh gasket (180585) is $10.

Don't overtighten things. "Tight is good; tighter is not better", quoted to me from N24RE one fine Saturday afternoon.

When ever I see this there is usually too much oil in the tank.
