    Hi brothers,
have some of you experienced a few oil dripping?
It's really just few drops I noticed on the garage floor (it should be about 10 drops for 30 days of staying)
Is it normal of do I have to worry?

In terms of overall oil consumption, I didn't noticed something strange (less that 0.5 Liters for more that 1.200 km)
    What do you think????

Well..............in reality, oil leaks are not good. :)
But because this is a Ferrari, it may not be so bad. ;) They reckon if your Ferrari engine does not have a small oil leak, then there is something wrong with it. :D
Where abouts do you think it is leaking from? Front of engine perhaps? I recently had a leak from copper washers on a hose from the engine block to the oil cooler. I gave the car a hard time that day, and when I got home, I noticed a few drips of oil. :( It is above the A/C compressor. Very hard to get at. I used a long 1/2" drive extension and 32mm socket, then came in through the wheel well under the exhaust manifold to try and tighten it a little. It did not feel like it tightend up at all. But it has not leaked oil since. Your car...........could have the same leak? Could be cam/crank seals leaking? Sump leaking? Hose leaking? If it is not that bad, then maybe you can leave it till next engine out major service. Just keep an eye on the oil level and you will be right. :)

I would not woory much. If you can tell that the oil leak is getting on the timing belt then I would get it fixed and change the belt. Otherwise, just check the oil occasionally (when the engine is hot), and enjoy the car!

ive had a small oil leak since day 2 of my last major service. never any drips on the floor of the garage though. residue apparantly from cam seals. typical as long as there is no significant volume.

If the seals are old they will leak. I have replaced all the seals on my 348, and I have NO LEAKS! What you need to do is find where the leak is coming from. The last seal I changed was the rear main seal, did that when I had the tranny out. I now have no leaks.

This excuse that it's "normal" for Ferrari's to leak is bunk in my book.

More cars leak than don't. Mine has a small cam seal leak (according to my mechanic, but plugzit and I never saw one). My 348 Spider had a small leak as well, but not worth fixing. I can live with a drop or two now and then. Hopefully so can u. BTW, a drop pan with kitty litter on it saves the garage floor and prevents a nasty comment from the sig other.

328 owner here, but mine has a small leak from the cam seals as well. Major was done 1 year ago. My mechanic had a look, said it was a 'nuisance leak' that he would take care of with the next major. Apparently the O-rings there are a bad design, and the labor to replace them is similar to the labor for the belt service anyway.

Get the vinyl floor covering from Griots or similar. I get a few drops every week and just wipe them up with a paper towel. The other benefit is that if anything else ever leaks - coolant, for example - you'll spot it immediately.

If my 348 didn't leak, I would get worried! But only a few drops every couple of weeks.

If it doesn't leak, how can you be sure it's Italian?

You know that she's Italian if she wears sexy shoes, goes topless, likes to party, likes to be revved and driven and shown off, enjoys fine leather, b!tch#s at you when you don't pay her enough attention, and breaks down on you if you ignore her altogether.

As a hot Italian, she wants a man's firm hands all over every inch of her, inside and out, constantly. If not yours, then she'll find someone else.
