Hi guys. Brother hood to the rescue. I was in traffic yesterday very hot during the day. Oil temp was past the half mark assuming 210ish. Water temp same until roads freed up and both check engine lights would come on for a few seconds at stop lights and disappear after take off. Is this cause it was hot?? I didn't loose any power to the car but this concerns me. The cels didn't stay on for more then 4 seconds bit they were on and off. Sometimes just one then 2 sometimes.
    Thanks

Are cooling fans working? Coolant level? Oil level? Airflow through radiators?

Don't worry about the water until it gets into the 215-220 range.
Don't worry about the oil until it gets over 265-280 (assuming you use good oil).
Do make sure the fans work propely.

Well the water was just a little past the 1/2 way mark on the gauge at a stand still that is in traffic after a while. But after moving a bit it drops below 1/2 was again.
    Thanks

Have you pulled the codes from the check engine lights? If not, I would retrieve the codes.
