348 Passenger headrest removal

I have been very unsuccessful in removing the passenger headrest. I have read other threads where the two plastic inserts must be removed first so that the headrest can be extracted, but to no avail. I was able to remove the plastic inserts with great difficulty but the headrest assembly will not come out. I need to remove it so I can have the upholstery repaired. Any ideas will be appreciated.
