    my next task was to give the doors and overhaul. The first goal was to fix the broken lock with the hill engineering upgrade. This would allow me to lock the doors !

    The second goal was to try and fix the window speed. I bought the kit from Home Page which will hopefully do the trick. (or at least help).

    Starting with the passenger side, I measured down took 8 seconds, and up took 11 seconds.

    First step of removing the door trim is to remove the thin strip at the edge of the door. This has four screws and is in two pieces.

    The bottom section is held on with plastic clips and pulls off. There is a high chance the clips will break when you do this so I ordered a bag of new ones.

    The next section I believe has one screw at the end of the door, and plastic clips, but in my case the screw is missing, so this also pulls off.

    Some other posts I've read say that taking the door strakes off the front is optional. It takes a few mins to do this, and allows much better access so I took mine off. There are two hidden bolts on the inside of the door.

    And four hex screews on the front of the door. My screws were very rusty and two of them the head was nearly stripped so I will be replacing them.
