Credit to Jeff for this one. The hex screws which hold the side strakes to the door, two of mine were very rusty and the head had stripped.

The photo is the exact screws you need if you want to replace. Thanks Jeff.

As you can see, I couldn't get a smaller amount that 50 so if anyone wAnts one.....

The spring just wasnt strong enough so only worked once then stretched :-(

I would bear the pain and pay for a spring kit or maybe look for a lock on ebay which includes the spring.

BTW I think the window logo on your window up/down switch should be pointing forwards so check with the other side in case your switches are mixed up.

I also painted my stainless screws black so they loked like originals plus also did another "set" in red to match the paintwork - like you I have spares! LOL

Great work and documentation as always, Jason. Glad you resolved the window height problem but I'm still curious as to why the adjustable stops apparently do not contact the window assembly.

BTW, those screws are available here in the States at McMaster-Carr in case anyone needs them. I bought a box to use for mounting aluminum pedal covers. Nice to know they'll also work for the side strakes. :)

I noticed the other day when doing my wiper project, that the little cap was missing off the passenger blade. As such the nut had rusted.

On Sunday I started to take apart the drivers door. It really goes a lot faster if you are not taking pictures at each step !

I discovered this. The picture show two rubber mountings which hold the center piece of the window assembly to the inner door. The reason this is an issue is that I'm pretty sure when I put the passenger door back together these were not there.

With the window down, I open and closed the passenger door and did hear the motor smack against the inner door, so it's definitely loose. I know that I put back all the pieces I took out, so can only conclude this was always this way. Not good. I'm amazed the window assembly is still in one piece given that the motor is just swinging about.

Call ricambi and Ferrari uk yesterday to try and buy these parts, and of course they are on back order. So I may have to improvise.

One thing I didn't cover on the passenger door was taking the lock assembly apart. I did this already on the passenger door as the door jammed back in the summer. This is the drivers side.

You can probably get those rubber isolators in post #195 at McMaster-Carr as well.
