I THINK YOU'RE REFERRING TO SL COMP. THEY SOLD A CHEESY ROUND TAIL LIGHT KIT THAT POINTED THE LIGHTS UP AND IT LOOKED KINDA DORKY. BUT THEY QUIT MAKING IT SO YOU'RE SCREWED.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO TRICK YOUR 348 OUT WITH KIT STUFF JUST GO GET A KIT CAR.

HEY IS THIS AN ALL CAPS THREAD?

Here is my 348 with proper fitment of a 355 challenge grill and 355 rear lights, not cheap but worth it. Also, in about an hour I can swap it back to its original rear lights and panel. No cutting was done to the car. Now thats doing it right :)

As a courtesy, please turn off your caps.

    http://www.garedcars.com/Default2.htm

This shows both angled and straight tail lights, not sure which is correct, as to what they sell. I would ask if they sell a "pre wired" kit, or are you going to have to cut, splice and tap into your wiring? I know one guy was making up kits and selling them that had all the correctly wired plugs so it was "plug and play". He posted here, but was not commercializing the product for retail sale.

I guess it is just me, but I kinda like the 348 for what it is, and the stock rear tail lights make it distinctive. Why make it look more like a 355, 360, or whatever?

I do HATE the stock 348 wheels...okay, I said it! ;) 355 wheels or the SS wheels look much nicer.

I kind of like the original rear lights on the back of the 348 also. It kind of makes the ass-end look even wider and more butch :) and it makes the link to the Testarossa. I'm not so keen on the few 348's that had no rear light grille (Challenge version?). Having said that, I love the return of the round tailights on the 355 but I'm not at all keen on the 355's round fog/driving lights up front.

The original 348 wheels looked good to me when they came out. Keeps with the sharp edge theme of the car (the strakes etc.). They do need some lip on them (spokes set farther in). I just don't like modern wheels with little or no rim lip on the outside. Don't care if it makes for some slight increase in handling or improvement in suspension geometry :-((

Cheese graters (strakes) on the sides, amazing!, Cheese graters on the rear, Eh,not so amazing, Again, do what you like, it's your car, you don't need affirmation from anyone on this planet to make you happy. Only advice is to make sure the kit you get allows for return to stock without cutting of any body panels/example, Brents 348 as noted above.

Also used to be at speedlinewheels-usa.com but now has the same placeholder page as the other URL. A shame as they had some great looking 355 style wheels but done as a 3 piece with some lip to them.

Heres a link from ferrari life.com's classifieds... looks to be a quality PNP kit, but expensive!
for 2 grand, it better be a direct-install precision fit!!

    http://www.****************/classified/view.php?id=384

I'd go with the CF kit and not paint it.

had to edit, why the hell did this thing truncate my link????

I think it has to do with the advertisers. Rob mentioned something along those lines a while ago.

Those lines across the tailights go along with the lines in the doors and the lines across the rear decklid (rear bonnet to my european friends). Even on the SS it looks unfinished without them.

As much as I like those round tailights on the 355, they belong...............on the 355!
