This part seems to be discontinued is there a replacement part or what are others using in place?

348, I just bought one. Call around for it, it's not discontinued. Try Ricambi.

Yes i am looking for the boot that protects the shift cables under the car. If this has been discontinued what are others doing as a replacement? Is the part not needed? Part number is (p/n 139802) (39 in pic)

The part is needed. I have not heard or many folks needing to replace it. The solution is a used part for various used part vendors.

Maybe email Maranello classic parts, they may have one. Sometimes they have things in stock which are not showing in their inventory, I have got lucky with them before.

Someone must have been quick. It has already been sold out at RedBay.

Right, point is to search and call. I understand is easier if someone does it for you, but if I needed one I could find it within 30 min. Actually I'd probably locate a NOS item in fact.

Sometimes people need guidance as to where the best and/or most likely place is to search, thats what the forum is all about right? Sharing information and experiences?

Definitely but if that does not pan out, search. I'll post some more links in a bit.

To be fair I posted a link to one in stock, its gone now, so I assume the op got it.

Quick update the one at Redbay was damaged, Redaby was not a shop i had not worked with in the past but was happy with their service and honesty. Most of the other shops i had already tried to find the part and was having zero luck. I asked for recommendations as i am sure there is a shop that is known for hard to find discontinued parts that i am just unaware of. As for the part I have 3d scanned the part and am having it 3D printed with a high heat nylon that has similar flexibility to rubber after failing to locate anything.

As for the damage, not sure how it was ripped prior to me pulling it off the car. I am a new owner, had the car for about a year now and just put the engine back in last month after replacing multiple things, so hopefully back on the road in a few more months. Car was in much worse shape than i was lead to believe and finding more problems daily.

They all are. They all have one has mileage lies. They all have shoddy maintenance and crappy repairs and things not repaired at all, every prior owner cut corners, polished it then lied when selling it. Ok not all cars but odds are you'll be getting one of those unless you buy it from a forum owner or what not.

Sure seems that way from the number of posts with experiences like this at least. Me included.
