    Hey All,

What do you all recommend as a solution to restore the seats? Buy new covers and have a local shop put them on? Any suggestions?

Dry and cracking. Feels like cardboard. I’m painting it this winter and I want to get the interior to like new.

Try Leatherique's conditioning regimen first. You'd be surprised how much it can really help.

Connolly Autolux leather is no longer available. If you replace the leather, it won't match.

Yes Try Leatherique, my seats were hard not soft and supple. I put them under a blanket with a space heater to warm them per instructions
You don’t wipe on wipe off.

have also used leatherique. got to be patient but works very well.

not cheap, but a lot cheaper than retrimming so worth a go first

I need to figure out something with my seats as well. Seat bottoms are cracked and stiff, and driver bolster ripped. If anyone comes up with a solution that isnt custom reupholster I would love to hear it. I've been debating just replacing the seats all together with something aftermarket and holding onto the originals as is.

Leather repair services can do a decent job of making the seats look good again. Even tears and cracks can be fixed. They will look great for a year or so, then some of the repairs will start to show through and you may have to touch it up. Your mileage may vary with use, ec.

I have a small amount of the color matched leather paint that my repair guy used, and I touch mine up every year or so. Pretty easy if you have an airbrush and some leather sealant.

All that being said, complete reupholster is the proper fix once there are cracks or tears. Was it Algar that you could send seats to for restoration? I know one Ferrari shop did some amazing work on these in the past. There are also companies that sell the pre-cut skins and you can DIY. Not a hard job, just time consuming to get the padding right, and the skins were a couple grand alone if I recall.

    Good luck!
