Hi everyone I'm new to the 348 world; I'm a BMW master technician. I've just done my 1st major service on our 1990 348tb; with oil pump chain and drive bearings. She's running great.
Was wondering if any one could point me in the right detection on after market seats with sliders. I've spent hours looking through old fourms and have only hit dead ends. Seems that all seat that are talked about are no longer made. If anyone could help me some nice none carbon seats that would be great. Thank you for your time.

I have not found any aftermarket seat rails. However, you can remove your seat rails from the stock seats and mount them to side mounts and buy some carbon side mount seats to work. Requires a side mount bolt kit for each, where you'll use washers to offset the stock rails.

The best looking period seat is the OMP Vid k/c. Pretty impossible to find and I regretfully sold my pair last month.
You can reuse your stock rails and bolt them to new side mounts as mentioned above.
The biggest issue for me is seat belt re-use. If you're going with a harness then you have to make the proper modifications. If you're planning on reusing your OEM seatbelt then you'll have to get some new mounts fabricated. I tried to use the Porsche Recaro mount and the fitment between the OEM rail and seat mount was too tight and didn't work as I was hoping.

So the spacing for the standard Sparco/OMP sliders is not the same as the OE 348 seats?

Use any track you want and adjust with the L bracket

Not rocket science, you should have no issue BMWs are just as much fun as these girls :)

Several people have swapped in Corbeau seats. They look pretty good. I believe they are pretty snug, though.
