    My passenger side automatic seatbelt has been failing to activate lately. It will stay in the exit position until the car hits a bump. Once I hit a bump it closes as it should. Any ideas on where to look?

    These things seem to fail on all 348's...I just disconnected mine by unplugging the two boxes underneath the center console....they are behind the climate control gauges...this turns off the seatbelt lights too on the dash.

    It's just a little white plug under the seat. If you pull the bullet-connector apart, it'll disable the crazy mouse motor. Then, go behind the gauges and simple remove the bulbs for the belt-warning. Those things used to drive me bonkers.

    Buckle up. Always. Both belts.

    Hi Richard,
    there was a recall on the seat belts for my 94 spider. I bought the car in Aug. 04 did a car fax & found the recall. I called local dealer they looked up the vin # to see if the recall had been fixed, it had not so they fixed it free of charge.( 10 yrs. later)
    Don't know about your year model but this may give you a place to start.
