    A rebuilt water pump essentially IS a new water pump. The risk of failure is just as great with a new one as a rebuilt one, which is slim to none.

    Another thing to consider is the Hill Engineering cambelt pulleys. They are better designed with larger bearings and alot more substantial. The dealers refuse to install them so use an independent shop. Way, way better. The factory bearings are about a half an inch smaller in diameter. Here are some pics of the hill parts.
