I've thought of doing this. I like the looks of the Speciale rear. Has anyone done this? I'm assuming there are some small parts that may be hard to find, but figure I can make those. Are the lights the same? Time for you Speciale owners to show off your rears.

Yeah, I think I can make one of those end caps. Looks like the rest is pretty simple. I'm assuming the lights underneath are exactly the same.

Thanks for the close up. OK, so a spacer to push the lights out a bit. Looks like a fun project.

No. The only cars to come with the challenge badge are the factory challenge cars which have the regular slats on the lights. The yellow car was a SS converted for the Challenge series (I almost bought it). I assume Dino added his badge. Regardless, the SS cars did not come with a challenge badge.

FYI ... I'm going to be pulling the beauty covers off of my speciale to have scanned for someone so they can get them 3D printed. Won't be OEM but his SS doesn't have the covers so he needs them.

When i get it done I'll send the name of who has the scan and can print. Not sure they'll give me the scan or not.

So looks like scanning and print will be about $150 USD. Honestly I'm a little afraid to give them to a guy fir a week to scan them. ..I mean they are unobtanium

I'm going to be doing a kit....already in the mockup phase.

Going to try and build the template for the spacers. I think I'll make my spacers out of machined aluminum...seems that the OEM pieces were cast metal. The way my parts will attach will be a bit different too.

Then I do the side pieces...

Friend of mine just bought a 3D scanner so once we can get our schedules to mesh I'm going to have him scan the beauty covers and will send them to folks.

I would LOVE to be next in line for a completed full rear piece. Someone stole my rear grill and I can't find it anywhere for sale...
