No, the SS and the later 348s used F355 suspension geometry.
The upper chassis-side A-Arm pivots were lowered by about 3/4", which raised the rear roll center, giving more understeer, and more progression from understeer to oversteer under power. This calmed the lively rear end considerably.

The lower A-Arm was left where it was, and the hub did not move (more than a few thousandths).

Chrome wheels were never an option for any 348 variant. Dealers often chromed wheels to motivate customer sales in the early to mid 1990’s as was the fashion during that time, I know, my 1995 Spider originally had them.

The hubs were the same but I thought they decreased the backspacing in the wheels (ie thicker wheel to push them out a bit).

Please stop referring to the 348 SS seats as being made of CF. They are Kevlar using a cold molded method, which is why they flex when you sit on the bolsters or if you stuff a wider person in them. If they were CF, they would not flex and some of us, ahem, might not fit. However, they do tend to get fracture cracks in them at the flex points after some years. As far as I know, there is really no viable repair unless someone knows exactly how they were made and the materials used. I do not.
