Tried to find info on the 348 speedometer but came up short. My car shows the needle at 10mph idle or off. I have seen a few other cars with the same 10mph. Is this normal or do all 348 speedometers require calibration?

Don't know about 348's but my 308 is always doing 13 mph. Seems to be the norm with these cars. :)

I was getting the car ready for inspection though did not think that would fail the car. The good news is I was able to get collector car sticker approval today for the 348, similar to historic but requires only mileage check.

The nature of all mechanical speedo is that they have a pin at about 10 mph to overcome initial resistance to motion - it seems to be a great worry on Fchat with numerous threads from people who want to recalibrate it away because they haven't seen the pin

Yep, and the same thing applies to the tach, a tiny pin keeps the needle from sitting at zero at rest.
