    Hi All,

I have purchased a pair of carbon fiber door sills (wrap around the bottom strake for a finished look) from Exotic Car Gear and they are beautiful.
    https://www.exoticcargear.com/product/door-sill-steps-with-inserts/

BUT, I am having a problem with them fitting. I had a replacement pair sent and they still do not fit properly. They don't seem to be wide enough. If you lay them right on top of the sill they fit perfectly as if they came right from the factory. Footprint is perfect! But once you put them on the right way (wrapped around the bottom strake) they fall short of lining up with the screw holes and leave a gap.

Has anyone purchased a set of these?

Thanks for any help in this matter.
    Anthony

I just refinished mine and when I went to put them back on I had the same problem you describe. First I found that where the lip wraps around the top of the rocker panel did not seat all the way from front to back. Once I discovered that it slid on easier but even then a bit of gentle persuasion was necessary. The 3 holes that secure it to the rocker by the door seal weren't perfectly drilled to begin with and had stretched out over time. Eventually it went on, yours will too. Just double check that channel that wraps around the top of the rocker.

The lip on the wrap is too tight and not wide enough to accommodate the rocker panel and seat properly. I spoke to the place and they said new molds are being made since the old ones may have degraded over time. Two more weeks. I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks
