While driving the other day when I went to shift from 2nd to 3rd it just wouldn't. The clutch works fine. And with a little effort I can get R, 2nd or 4th. It had been a little more tricky in it's shifting lately but not much more than it had allways been. Any ideas?

Yes, check your cables asap. Also, make sure the bellcrank the cables are attached to is properly installed. Sometimes the bolt'll work loose. Don't drive or move til you do. If it ain't that, you're gonna have to pull it. Maybe a slipped fork (3rd best case), but it's probably gonna come out if it ain't cables.

Good suggestion above to check the cables. Also check your tranny fluid level. If the level is near the high mark you'll want to drain your fluid to search for metal shavings.

But if the tranny fluid level is low, then top her up...you might solve your problem easily.
