Has anyone cared to inquire about this car? http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/983261661.html Obvious different cars based on the pics but I guess some sellers use file/internet photos to represent their own cars.
I wondered why a private sale was pictured in front of a dealership, but what am I missing in the differnces between the description on the photos? Jon
I never noticed it before but the two top pictures at least have different colored top boots. Who knows, maybe it's been replaced or maybe one is a stock photo. Either way it sounds like the guy wants to sell it although it also sounds like it's ready for a major if it hasn't had service in 12K miles. Wonder how long that's been? Still looks like a decent car at a fair price but I guess you never know!!
The picture in front of the dealership (with what looks like a Pagani Zonda) besides having a different color boot also has a European plate on the front bumper.
I was thinking the same thing. Probably just pulled pics from elsewhere for easy ID. Local number, so give it a call.
I just googled the phone number: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGIT,GGIT:2007-03,GGIT:en&q=206%2d595%2d3291 "Vaughn" seems to be selling a lot of cars, so I would suspect he is a dealer. His lack of candor and saying it is his car and this is a private sale makes me suspicious. He is also selling cemetary plots and a Ron Paul supporter! This car should have marks all over it from the 10 foot poles...
I emailed him about this car maybe two weeks ago: "Hello Eric! I'm actually selling this car for my boss at work, we do in fact work for a car dealership but it is his personal car. It's at his house on Lake Union. Now that the weather has improved he could possibly bring the vehicle to the dealership even though he doesn't typically drive it during the winter. We work for Bill Pierre Chevrolet which is on Lake City Way right by Northgate Mall in north Seattle. Let me know when would be a good time for you to stop by and take a look at it and I'll try to set it up so that either myself or Blake can show you the vehicle. My cell is 206-595-3291 if you'd like to give me a call! Vaughn Kiefer"
Which means he took it in on a trade or bought it at a dealer auction, beat it up and is now bored of it...or needs to sell because the economy for dealers is so bad. (Although, I believe Pierre has been in biz long enough to do a significant portion of their inventory in cash, rather than credit, which would keep them healthier for longer.) I agree...I think this car is probably an eleven-footer, which is to say that it looks great, provided you're not touching it with your ten-foot pole.
