Does anyone have any experience with the cost of repainting either:
    1. the entire car (spider version) or,
    2. just the front bumper

does the paint color matter in price? mine is Fly yellow.

How about suggestions on where to go? (im in the Houston area)

    thanks in advance!

I know how much it would cost to paint here in Australia. Would not have a clue what paintshops charge there to repaint cars. :):) Visit your local paintshop and find out. Or someone here can point you in the right direction to a really good paintshop, but expect to pay more for the better quality finish on your Spider. :):)

$2200 is what mine just cost with some minor damage repair - filling in some cracks, etc. Doing just the lower might be around $1500.

I would figure on a total repaint job anywhere from $10-20K, depending on the shop. Of course it could go much higher, but practically speaking, I see no reason why you couldn't get a quality job for close to the $10K mark. As for yellow, a friend of mine who owns a body shop says it's one of the more difficult colors to work with - yellow actually has a great deal of white in it and it actually has some semitransparent characteristics. BTW, my 348 is yellow.

I paid $1100 to get both bumpers and the lower section of the car repainted about a year ago. I think it came out very well, and the shop owner took good care of the car while it was there. $10k seems pretty high to me, but I am a little on the cheap side. If I were going to get a total repaint I think $7-8k should do it. YMMV.

I would guess an easy $10K

It probably is *not* a simple car to paint; the cheese-graters alone would probably drive most journeymen painters completely bonkers.
