348 Spider rear Emblem

Some came with & some without, I like it better with. Nothing fell off.

 

Early 1993 models had the 348 Spider badge. Later 348 Spiders are clean.

 

As far as I can tell ALL Euro 348 Spiders do have the badge. (Mine is a very late car and has it.)

I thought 348 Spiders destined for the US had them removed by FNA to try to disassociate the newer improved 348's from previous models. My 1994 does not have any 348 badging on it what so ever. On the radio door, there is a badge that reads "Spider". The interior of the door sills both say "Ferrari", but no where does it say 348.

 

Mine came without one but I put one on because I like it better.

What about the rear deck lid? Mine is one solid color. No black any where.
anyone know?

 

It was my understanding that Ferrari started painting the entire decklid/engine cover body color starting for the '95 model year. I have a '94 which has the black panel that sits in front of the louvers. I also hear that many '94 owners had the panel painted to match the rest of the car.

My car has no paint work at all. It must be a later 94

 

What/where precisely is the rear deck lid?

Is that the plate under the louvres towards the front? It covers half the engine lid.

 

Hi all,

All 348 Spiders left the factory without Black painted sills and engine covers, all the panels were finished in body colour.

Thank you, I like yellow also. Yes, my grill is black also under the decklid.
Some spiders have a black section toward the front of the decklid near the boot. Is your's black or same color as the car?

 

I have a 94 spider with a the black panel on the decklid. All '95 models I've seen have had body color panels.

It is possible that later '94's got the "painted to match" treatment.

 

That seems to be the case.
