348 Spider seatbelt retractor removal

I want to remove the seatbelt retractors from my 95 348 Spider to have them rebuilt with new belts. There is a 17mm bolt holding each retractor but I can't see if there is a nut on the other end which would need to be removed. The nut would be in the engine compartment and that area is covered by the radiator pipes and insulation. Neither the Spare Parts Catalogue nor the Ricambi parts diagrams provide any information because neither actually even shows the bolt individually, much less a nut. Thank you! Roger
