Checking the wiring on the 348 Spider project I am currently doing I found a lot of old unused wiring from previous alarms that are now redundant.Ripped out a lot of it but there are some that I'm bnot sure about so any pointers would be gratefully recieved.

It's a RHD car so on the passenger side there is red/black and a black wire that runs up behind the screen pillar trim and into the hood latch(on the screen frame) to a micro switch, anyone know if this is std ??

Also on the same side there is a small silver box with what looks like an aerial cable and a pink wire that runs from the box up behind the trim on the screen pillar.

Both these are connected to what looks like an amp just behind the heater under the carpet in the luggage compartment.

Pretty sure they are aftermarket items but would like to be sure.

    TIA

    Steve

Sounds like some sort of alarm on the micro switch
I do not have this on mine

Thanks, that's what I thought, the micro switch is actually inside the latch/hsg that the hood frame engages into on the screen frame.

Cheers Neil, can be around anytime that is convenient for you.Looks like it has had few alarms on it over the years, removed an old Clifford yesterday.

Oh I've seen some right messes over the years, the Cliffords are usually in a good state but there's always those Friday afternoon installs!

If you are about any earlier that would be good, I can get the dash back in once I've sorted out what does what on this wiring. If not Sunday would be great, whatever is convenient for you.
