I rewirwd my window/door plugs. My windows worked fine for a while. Now drivers window stuck down. When I unlatch the top the passanger window drops an inch or so but the drivers does not. Is there a relay for the convertible or any advice or tips
Yes there is a relay but what you describe sounds like a broken wire. Did it work normally before? if it did then you need to take your door pin apart and look real carefully at all the connections, if you see nothing obviously wrong (i.e broken or loose wire) then remove your Left front tire and look at the other side of the door pin carefully, while you are doing this good idea to use Staibalent 22 on the connections.
I could be wrong here but if your window is already rolled down, I don't think unlatching the top will move the window like it does when the window is in the full up position. I agree with Roberto: check for more broken wires at the connector and also check fuse #2, behind the passenger footrest (top row of fuses, counting from right to left).
I hardwired the doors eliminating the plug all together several months ago and all worked well for a time. Prior to hardwiring I had an issue with it getting stuck either up or down and many times when I would release the top it would kind o kick start the window and it would work, for a while at least. That is why I am looking for the relay, or switch that drops the windows to see if there is a connection there, or eliminating it entirely on the drivers door since I have to have the drivers door open to drop the top anyway. I have not been able to drive the car for several months due to it being a bit too chilly this time of year to have the window stuck down.
Robert, what about the switch? As I recall, the connectors are interchangable on the back (i.e., the plugs that control left/right motor function will fit into either switch), so you could try running the left window with the right switch...
