www.ferrariads.com Thanks.
yeah or #69..... ....we do ???? I thought I was your only friend........ ..........I need a "B" as in coupe, not as in Black....... once Vince's 348SS can be brought to around 340+HP who knows what the new year will bring....
There is always something. Again, the owner knows this for sure. He should step up in the ad and be honest about it. Makes me think right away, what else is he hidding.
I'm now seriously looking at this car. How long ago did you look at it? If you dont mind my asking, what did you pay for #64? I'm new to Ferraris (previously a Porsche nut) and have the same concerns as you. No service history or books, carfax problem, car hasn't been used in 4 years. Am I getting in over my head here? I'd appreciate some advise for those of you more knowledgeable than I about Ferrari.
If you are looking for an SS, major completed by a Ferrari Dealer, check out Dean348's car. It's NICE! No Stories! And it is close to you http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=495&cat=2
Wow I did not know Dean348 was an SS... .....................that should fetch a premium ....................... then he can get the "end all, be all" of v8 f-cars....a super clean 355 !!!
I paid near 55k for on in Texas with full records, no stories, and a appraisel by Ferrari of San Antonio that suggested it was "possibly the best example of an SS". Needs a Major due to time (5 years) vs. mileage. When I was looking at the Illinois car, I was communicating through a Broker (Luxcars.com) that prevented direct information and contact until a brokers agreement was signed. That mean't asking price was non negotiable at 55. Just as that was happening, I found #64 in Texas. Much better car same price. My personal issues with #98 are: 1) car fax issue 2) Lack of records 3) Faded fabrics 4) Standard seats. (kevlar seats provide much more head room for taller guys. I'm 6'2") None of these are deal breakers by themselves but I found #64 at the right time. If I recall. there was another SS in ?Tennesse? that seemed real nice. Also a Black on tan at Lake shore. Not an SS but real nice. Hope that helps Lane
Thanks. That does help. Where do you find those other SS's? I agree that none of those are deal breakers but the thing that concerns me the most is no service records or books at all. I have to believe that even if the car checks out OK otherwise, that will impact its value going forward.
Man, I am glad you said that. You got me trolling thru the ads to see where the car that is being discussed was listed. I never found it and was wondering, what the heck...?
I just bought a 93 SS from lam of dallas 9k miles just major done at f of dallas within 9 months and i paid 60k couldnt be happier
