Is it true there is no "battery cut-off" on a 348 Speciale? I found this to be possibly the most useful feature on my 328 and 355, but I was told that while the regular 348 has one, the 348 Speciale does not???

    Thanks,

Every (modern) Ferrari has a battery "cut-off" switch.

In the 348 Speciale (I will distinguish the Speciale from the other 348s because since they are later cars, the 348s Speciale will inevitably have their batteries in the driver front wheel well rather than int he rear of the car as on earlier 348s), the switch will be accessible from the front luggage compartment on the driver side. Remove the panel and find the round knob.

Right, it looks like a Ban roll-on deorderant stick standing on end, round side facing you. :) It just dials one click on and one click off. It is much easier to see with a flashlight. Isn't this a '93 on feature of the 348? Can't recall when the batteries went from rear to front.

My 92 build SS has the front driverside wheel well battery
and the cutoff switch up front same side under the hood.

Thanks guys - when I had picked it up from Wide World, they told me the SS did not have (a '93.) I would go out into the garage right now and check, but I dropped it off at WW again this morning to get a speedo issue taken care of, so I will check as soon as I pick it up. That switch has to be the most important feature of any F-car!!!
