The previous owner of my 348 SS had the carbon fiber seats out and regular 348 seats installed because it made it easier to get in and out. I have to admit, it is a pain in the butt to get in and out of the car, but I love the CF seats. The problem is there are spacers that were originally installed under the mounting rails that were not reinstalled. I took the seats out of the car and tried to figure out how the rails fit to the seat, but the mounting holes never lined up properly. I looked at the exploded diagram of the 348 challenge seats, which show the spacers, but there wasn't enough detail on the drawings. I can't tell which direction is up on the spacers and what mounting hole in the spacer aligns with what mounting hole in the seat rail. Could someone with an SS with CF seats take some photos of their seat mounting rails and spacers or maybe someone who has removed them before could explain the process? Because the seats sit to low, the seat belt housing is rubbing the center console. I need to get the spacers reinstalled before it causes damage to the leather.

I've included some photos of the seat mounting rails and the spacers. Thanks for any help!

The wedge (spacer) installs with the wide side to the rear. It should be fairly obvious when you try to line things up. I have had mine apart and it was very easy to line up and put back together.

Dino, it may be obvious if you are the one that took them apart, but since I wasn't, I'm having some trouble. As you can see from my photos the spacers have threaded holes and some that are larger and not threaded. If I move them around I can align each of them up with the mounting holes in the seat.

A fellow FChater (Matt) is going to take some photos of his SS and try to help me out.

I'll post the picts once I get them mounted to add to the FChat knowledgebase.
