Are the 348 TB Zagato Evoluzione and the 348 Zagato Elaborazione the same car?

If they are the same thing, which is the correct designation, Evoluzione or Elaborazione

Does anyone have more pics or info on this car? Here's what I found on qv500.com.

Does anyone know, Was that the first glass rear engine cover? Or were there concept cars prior that had the glass engine cover?

Dave, there was a 6 page article on this car in the July 1991 Sports Car International. There's a reprint in the Brookland Books Ferrari 328-348-Mondial Ultimate Portfolio.

The overall look isn't to my particular taste...but...I like individual elements such as the 288 GTO style rear side vents and the glass rear hatch with body-color Ferrari script on the airbox.

I'd like to see what Zagato did to the interior.

Knowing what Zagato did for the DB4, I got all excited when I saw the thread name! I feel alittle let down.........

Remember, Zagato did this well before the 355 came out. Doesn't look that radical from the 355, but imagine Zagato had no 355 in existence yet as influence. This was all based on a 348 with only past influences and forward thinking design (which ended up influencing the 355).

As said in the thread Rob has linked to, it´s the mystery about this car what sparks my interest in it. How many were actually built? Who are their owners? Where are they now? Have they ever been driven? They so rarely show up on public events.

No, the car isn´t all that pretty, but, as said before, it looks like it gave Pininfarina direction for the up coming V8 models and in that sense, it surely is an important car.

I wouldn´t be suprised that this car will be well searched for, once the word get´s around. The car simply has been lost from sight right after it was delivered to costumers, and thus swiftly disappeared into oblivion. Fact is however that is a very rare specimen, with a certain historic value, and that is more than one can say than for most other pre -1985 Ferrari.

Not really. Thanks to Miltonian I've finally been able to see the "redesigned" Zagato interior. Shown here: http://webpages.charter.net/aircover/348/1994Ferrari348Spider.html#Modified

    Bah.

The "rear view" TV monitor replaced the radio cover and the lower center console plastic was wrapped in suede.

A pretty uninspiring cockpit. Individual Fchatters have done much better mods to their 348 cockpits.
