Dear All, Can someone help me with the following? a. Where can I get a book that provides technical details on the 348 history of the car, etc.... I would prefer a hard copy. I would like to keep it as part of my collection. Also where can i get a original owners manual for my 91 348ts. b. Where do I get extra keys for the car? I only have one so far, and I tend to lose my keys often. Thanks Much, Vishal PS. This is an awesome site!
Glad you are enjoying this site mate. Such a wealth of info here and a good group of guys. The genuine 348 is no longer available. Sold out. I was lucky to have 2 spares when I got my 348 and I also bought 1 more. So I have 4 in total. You may have to go to your local locksmith and get a standard key cut to suit? Ebay will probably be the best place to find the tech books and the owners manuals. I see them for sale occasionally.
Just about every hardware store in the U.S. carries the Ilco "X152 FT46" key blank. Cost? About $2. These blanks can be cut by the hardware store and will operate your 348 door locks and ignition. The Ilco fits Fiats and Ferraris alike.
There are these '348' keys on ebay. They look crap. You are better off getting the $2 key you are talking about ND. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FERRARI-348-MONDIAL-KEYS-2-Key-Blanks-Cut-Option-FB_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ40016QQihZ003QQitemZ130050763829QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ferrari-348-F40-Mondial-3-4-Testarossa-512TR-Key_W0QQitemZ140031942206QQihZ004QQcategoryZ1256QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
Ug. That Ilco key is no beauty queen, either. It's all metal with "FIAT" stamped on it. But on the positive side, 348 Brother MDShore? can put a cool Enzo-style red cover over the "FIAT" part.
Here you go buddy. MDshore348 can hook you up with one these custom made 348 keys. They look great! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136155378&postcount=1 Image Unavailable, Please Login
