I now have new timing belts and Hill Engineering tensioners on my engine, during the major I'm doing (still :)). The bolts fixing the static tensioner and the actual spring-loaded tensioner are both 10mm, but I can't ID a suitable torque in the 348 torque list. Other 10mm torques vary, so I was going to shoot for 30-35ft-lbs.

On the static tensioner, I reach 25ft lbs without a problem, but when stepping up, I felt the torque was not increasing enough after turning it further... ie, didn't feel it was tightening enough as I turned. So I stopped.

So what have others actually used for torque values on these 10mm bolts?

    Thanks.

Couldn't find that value either when I did my major so I used 34 ft-lbs based on some standard torque value found in an engineering book...
