    Hi all,

I have just finished rebuilding the engine on a 1993 TS and I'm now in the process of setting the timing. I need clarification on the timing marks at the bottom of the engine. Should the woodruff key on the bottom pulley point toward 12 O'Clock?

If you have any info in diagram form or otherwise, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

No, at number 1 TDC, the woodruff key slot points to the 10 oclock position, which lines up with the left bank.

When you slide the balancer on the crank, there's a timing mark that will be exactly at 12 oclock. Another alignment mark is on the timing cover.

Why not use a dial guage and degree wheel with or without piston stop making #1 to TDC. That's your real primary referrence point for any meaningful timing.
