Calling all 348 owners with a nice tool kit! I have a pretty sorry looking kit in my 348. Almost everything is missing! I have a bulb and two spanners. The rest has been lost by the previous owner. I need to know a couple of items I cannot identify from the empty space left behind. The list in the cars manual doesn't go into specifics.

First, what are the spanner combinations? I only have six slots and each seems to have a size at each end. Can anyone enlighten me? Secondly, what are the bulbs and fuses that should be in the kit and what is the odd shaped item in the bottom right corner along from the bulbs.

Finally, there is a ratchet, extension, spark plug socket and something else in the top corner above the socket in the other tray? Any help on this would be much appreciated. I'll have to replace with non-Ferrari parts, but at least I'll have the correct tools if anything goes wrong on the road!

There are two types of tool kit shown at ricambi in the parts book section and there's also a list of parts with the drawing - in truth I think the description format is slightly easier to use on the similar section at the eurospares.co.uk site

Thanks for the info. I'll go check it out and hopefully fill in all the blank spaces in my kit!

Did you actually get your questions answered?

The spanner combinations (on my 1990 348) are:
    6mm / 7mm
    8mm / 9mm
    10mm / 11mm
    12mm / 13mm
    16mm / 17mm
    18mm / 19mm
Each of these are marked "Ferrari" on one side, and "Chron Vanadium Kravn" on the other.

I'm not certain about the bulbs and fuses, but my kit has a high and a low headlight bulb, a single filament and dual filament regular tail/brake/turn signal bulb, a smaller 5W bulb, and four blade-type fuses (7.5, 10, 15, and 20 amp).

Odd-shaped item? Might be the trouble light that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket.

Thanks for that. The Eurospares cat didn't list the individual items, so this is a big help.

BTW, what does the trouble light do?

It looks for trouble obviously !

No its a light on a very long lead so that you can poke around in the engine compartment at night and see what you are doing (unless you've had an electrical failure of course.....)

Ah I see. So a small torch is the way to go then as a sensible replacement? Thanks for helping on this. There are almost no lists anywhere of the actual full contents of the kit.

No idea how you lose almost every tool in the kit. I don't think the last owner was all there!
