    Hello Gents,
If you are looking for an aftermarket option for a tow hook and don't want to spend $300 plus on the Fabspeed. Or just a replacement to your lost OEM. A 2004-2009 Mazda 3 is the same thread pattern and almost the exact same length. Happy motoring!

Thanks. Hill Engineering also makes a great looking yellow one for 348 as well. Just a bit over $100.

    Hi

I bought a tow hook from Eurospares (a basic one).
I screwed only 4 or 5 turns so that is a few considering length (around 1/3).
Is anyone as a feedback on it.

    Thanks and enjoy ferrari !

348 and 355 share the same tow hook options. I've been looking and my search still leads me to the challenge tow hook. Both the Fabspeed and HE versions are longer, so they protrude out more.

If there was no protective cap in place, debris might have accumulated in the receptacle. Try cleaning the receptacle out and see if you can screw it in any further, but the 4-5 turns you have is enough for a stable and functional tow hook.

But keep it in your trunk should you ever need to be flatbeded.

I looked at my 1999 355GTS Tow receptacle and instead of a rubber cap, there appears to be an aluminum plug. Not exactly something that can be easily removed when it is needed. Anyone else find this metal plug instead of a rubber?

Driving an old 3o years old Ferrari and hoping to never having to tow it? When you wish up on a star, sometimes the star comes crashing down.

yelcab F1 World Champ, thanks but not a big fan of the “new Disney,” I’ll look up to the sky and talk to Enzo. Oh and it’s a 1999, a 24 year young Ferrari. My name is Schumy btw.

    They don't make a 348 in 1999. Did you really mean to say 1989? The 1999 is a 360.

I don't know what your are looking at, Ferrarichat send me a message that you responded to my post. Maybe misunderstanding. I will repeat my post:

"I looked at my 1999 355GTS Tow receptacle and instead of a rubber cap, there appears to be an aluminum plug. Not exactly something that can be easily removed when it is needed. Anyone else find this metal plug instead of a rubber?"

I believe in reading other accounts, my 355 has a broken off tow hook :(((
