I ran a across a couple of tidbits of info that I think are correct on the 348. You guys tell me if this incorrect. The US 348s from 93-95 did not have the larger intake plenum that I see on the Euro cars. You can tell difference of the 2 by the ribbing on the top the euro plenum. It has one rib that goes the length of the top with 3 short ones and kind of a dog leg rib and the plenum appears to be bigger in size/volume. The US cars are all the same from '89-'95, five ribs running the length of each plenum with the horse breaking up two of the ribs. From what I have found that is the reason for the difference in HP; 312 '93-'95 US, vs. 320 '93-'95 Euro. The other difference is more suttle, there appear to be two different seat belt arrangements on the NA 348SS and spiders vs. the cars imported into Canada. The Can. don't have the mouse/tractor belt arrangement that the US cars used in place of airbags. I thought you 348 guys that are interested in trivia could shed some more light on this. I am basing my thoughts on parts books info, some pictures sent to me by a fellow Fchatter(on the seat belts)and some info I have read over the years. Regards, Vern

Pretty much sums it up. I think hp difference was due to timing difference in Euro model. Euro had different engine designation 119H as opposed to US 119G.

I think the difference in letters was the manifold not the timing, more of a major parts change(to warrent the letter change) and to signify the change was the letter. Not trying to argue just my thoughts. Didn't the euro cars from '91-92 have the G motor also?, it seems like I read that somewhere, the H motor was from 93-95, Euro only, I could be wrong I'll have to go back thru some of my docs and look.
