    Dear All,

    I drive a F348 ts from 1993 for May 2007. I enjoy much the car .....

How do I fasten the roof behind the seats?

    Is there a belt there?

Does someone have a photo of it?

I am looking for a Soft Top. Who sells one?

    Greates from Switzerland

The pegs from the roof panel go in the holes in the floor supports. There is a vinyl roof panel cover that has some snaps on the ends of short vinyl straps that hold the top in place.

    Thanks for the fast answer.

    Interesting.

I believe i am missing this vinyl roof panel......

Perhaps does it still give this covering by the friendly Ferrari dealers??

In Switzerland it is not to be gotten no more....

does someone have to sell something??

Be careful when you recline the seat . There are screws that protrude from my seat that will scratch the top If I sit all the way back .

Well! That explains alot of things, like, why I have those marks on the top, and what those snaps are behind the seats!

Didnt know there was a cover for that top. Now, does anyone know where I can get one?

Strange but I dont think that is the soft top for the targa. The soft top was a temporary fix/fold out type of cover. Think that it was at one stage going to be replicated by Hill Engineering but was ultimately aborted. I would love to find one of those covers for convenience.

Please notice that separate things are meant.

    1. Cover of standard Targa top, that (more or less) protects the top from the chairs
    2. Soft top (folding top) of which I added a picture beneath

nr 1 is available through normal channels. nr 2 is much harder I heard http://www.carinteriors.nl/ in the Netherlands has 5 new ones available.

How does #2 actually stay on the car if it's moving? It looks like it should only be used when the car is parked, as there are no latches or mechanisms to secure it.

    Daniel,

Sorry that I didn't see your question before, just came across it.

I'm afraid my knowledge of english comes short here, but I will try. The softtop is fastened by stretching the folding mechanism while mounting it on the car, the knobs in the middle then lock. While unfolding, it stretches and the pins on the backside and hooks on the frontside keep it in place. However there is a decal on it warning not to exceed 160 km/h (100 miles/h). I accidently drove 200km/u with the roof mounted and it didn't blow off. It doesn't bother me because I only use it in the rain.

I'm still quite happy with it. Drove with it through the pouring rain in Italy and it didn't leak a single drop of water (allthough there is quite a bit of space between window and roof (about half an inch).

Looks like it get wedged between the windshield top bar and the targa bar when the side supports are extended and tightened. Looks nice and simple.

    Hi guys,
Is it someone that has some more pictures more of this soft top? I saw a thread with the bare frame without the fabric but now I can not find it... I am thinking of making one of these as it is such a pain to store the roof behind the seats and the point of having a targa is to not have the roof on, but it is still nice to have some weather protection ;).

Wow, folding top would be a nice addition. Always worried I am going to scratch my hardtop.

That looks almost like the 348(G)TS roof cut in half?
Or is it an original Ferrari optional part, never seen one before?!
Probably near impossible to find and not cheap ;)
I think I better stick with the original plan and build a soft top if I can find some good skeleton pictures of the already existing and tested tops but thanks for sharing the picture. Do you know the asking price for it btw?

BTW Do 355 roof/soft tops fit?
