Hi my uk 348 ts interior is in tatty condition, I am looking to improve it. The seat backs rock forwards and backwards. I have managed to buy a new old stock drivers seat which is tan rather than crema. So I am looking for a matching passenger seat now. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login The newer seat is so much better. I have noticed the new seat doesn’t have a seat belt guide, will it be ok to use this without the guide? The later 348 doesn’t seem to have them? Any advice on how to improve the interior would be really useful. The carpets are ok, trims need to be recolonised. Ash tray is broken etc.

The problem with both the old seats is the backs rock forwards when you brake. Is this typical? My new seat has a different mechanism which seams totally solid.

I think the suggestion here is Crema is very popular in the UK. so don't change the color, just upgrade the tattered units. Personally, my favorite is Crema as well, and I have Black...!

No. Its not normal. You probably have a defective seat adjuster. I stripped mine down to recolour them and from what I saw its possibly part 19 on the diagram which is faulty. Its a sealed ratchet type device. Maybe has tooth damage. Your seats look fairly worn generally and would need a complete refurb to get them looking spot on. The cheapest option is what you are doing in trying to find a nice pair. I see them come up now and again for sensible money but inevitably they would probably need some restoration. Depends on your personal goals. Im not sure if they changed the design of the mechanism over the years. Confirm with the supplier.

Up to you in colour off course; but if you are keeping the Crema (my fav and what I have), canabalise the new seats for the parts and repair what you have.

Depends on your budget and end goal what you do next; either clean and diy dye your current seats and interior or get it re-trimmed. Wide variation in price depending what standard you want.

If the plastic is sticky, sort that out. Cillit Bang grease and sparkle works well. I’ve left mine unpainted. If you don’t want to do yourself a number of companies will re do them and paint them.

Other than that lot; put some miles on it!!! Lots of events etc to go to, people to meet and miles to put on your car!!
