Quick questions - is the rear track width of a 92 TS different than a 94 Spider? If so by how much (mm) and is because of a wheel spacer or actual different suspension. Is that also true for the front track?

US late rear wheels are 43mm offset
Early model rear wheels (e.g. '92 ts) are 68mm offset.

25mm per side wider (less offset)

    No spacers. Different rear lugs.

    No difference on front wheels

43mm offset wheels only for US market. (Euro Spiders for example do not have wider track)

Not intirely true. The 348 SS in '93 had 25 mm wider track built into the offset in the rear wheels. This was supposed to correct some of the handling problems. This was ONLY on the '93 SS model. '94 tb/ts and spiders reverted back to pre '93 offset.

So to answer your ? the offset should be the same for '92 ts and '94 spider.

    Richard,
I think the 94 348 Speciales (all 15 of them, or at least that is the number I have consistently seen reported) also have the wider rear offset. At least it appears that way on the one I recently purchased, although I haven't measured.
    Best regards, Lance

p.s. Glad to see you are still taking good car of "my" black 348 Challenge!

not sure about the SS's, but I know for fact that normal 348 spiders 94' & 95' have the same offset as the 89'-92' ts models...The spiders came with 25mm spacers in the rear with 80mm lug bolts, whereas the TS's had no spacers and 55mm lug bolts...

    Very interesting!

My GTB GTS Spider (~ 1994) Parts catalogue says the 68mm offset rear wheels (narrow track) are NOT VALID for USA and Canada, and that the 43mm offset (wide track) ARE.

I am intrigued by those spacers as I've never seen them in a parts catalogue - what is the Ferrari Part number for them?

It's also quite interesting why Ferrari would fit 25mm spacers when they have a wheel with 25mm less offset already in production.

Eric's (spiderguy) 348 spider that SGMFMD or whoever just bought had the wider track built into the wheels, asI recall seeing the picture.
