I have $100 that says you don't sell that car at that price (you said it was firm) in the next year. I have $10 that says you don't even get a phone call on it unless it is from someone asking if you would take $45k.

When you can get similar mileage 355s for $10k less and similar mileage 360s for that price, I don't think anyone will touch your car.

I would much rather see you agonize for a short while and lower the price by $10k (at least!) and actually sell the thing than sit an agonizing year getting not so much as a call.

Sorry mate, I am sure you paid more for it but that is a $42k car (to actually have an exchange of money), IMO.

Unfortunately I have to kind of agree it will be hard to sale at that price. I also will be selling mine soon and I seriously doubt I can make 45K ....

I bet he does get calls, I listed for 55 and received close to asking price, there is buyers out there, I am still getting phone calls on my 348.

Good luck on your sale, give us a hint into what you are buying next?

3 options I am looking at for the upgrade.

    1. I am looking at doing a short-term lease in a 458 so I can get my name on the list for a 458 Spider

    2. A mid 04-06 Gallardo

    3. An R-8

I'm on no deadline and in no hurry so no "agonizing".

See, this is the thing...I was talking to some other musicians the other night who were whining about only getting paid $500-750 a night. I explained, well, if you accept that amount, especially if you CONTINUE to accept it, it's your fault. Then they bring up the economy, blah blah. OK. I work with a band that gets $6-10K a night. Why? BECAUSE THEY ASK FOR IT. They are booked so solid, they had to create another whole band to deal with all of the bookings!

There are people out there who want quality and will pay. Everyone told me I couldn't sell my Cayman S for what I was asking. I got every penny within a month of laying it out on Auto Trader.

Upgrading either to a 360 or most likely to an 06 Gallardo ...

Both good choices it was very close for me on the exact same two. I wanted a 360 spider but loved the look of the Gallardo, then luck came my way in my Roadster.

    Good luck Bro :)

I don't think you'll find any 355's for 10k less or 360's for similar money that aren't serious "story" cars. That said, I think the correct asking price since your car is so nice and has really low miles would be $49,000.

Not to rain on anyone's parade..

I had mine on Car's.com. It was a VERY clean and original 95 Spider with 17k miles. I can assure you, you will get few if any serious calls on it at that price. Sorry

Am sure he paid more than 42K, but the build numbers for 355's and 360's (oh my god!) makes it more likely that he will get that. Even more so down the line, too many 355's and 360's on the road. Try spotting a 348 around these days and you will see that they seem to be harder to find. Even more so than some 308's and 328's too. Am in Los Angeles, home to way too many exotics and I have a damn hard time finding another 348 on the road!

I saw Mike and his wife out on the road in their 348 today. His car looks hot as hell. I hope he gets his asking price.

You know what ? That is a good point, even on Ebay is the same ... there are always plenty of 355 and 360's for sale but only a few 348's and this happens all the time. It is possible that due to the 21 + years age of the 348 models and since the car is easy to lose control, many totaled them and there are only a couple thousands left in the World ? Perhaps we should all review the price of our 348's ? It's a thought !
