I'm seeing 355s listed for crazy (or reasonable) asking prices. The gated, early, *raw* ones are the ones commanding the most. Has this had an impact on later 348s? I acknowledge I own a 93 Serie Speciale, and I'm in a "hold" position (not selling - too much fun and nothing I'd want to buy with the same money) but I am naturally curious about market trends. Don't know if enough late 348s have been listed to be statisically significant, but curious...
What i see, know.. Is that the specials and the late 348's low millage still hold good money and going strong. The 348's above 50k millage . Are still going down Every day. (Europe)
Melvin, Interesting but where is that data to support the view that (Europe) 348's above 50k mileage are going down every day? My point is I'm not sure there are enough real sales of the 348 to build a view. Also, you only see an asking price, you don't know what they actually change hands for, if they sell at all, so I'm intrigued at how such conclusions are arrived at?
Mobile.de has 348 listed from 45k to 139k euros. Mileage doesn't seem to be a big factor. Cars I looked at have from 30 to 100 KM on them. Cars with 30k km can be found from 55k to 100k euros. Highest ask car has 34k km. Lowest ask has 64k km. But there is a 77k km car with a 105k euro ask and one with 81k km for 110k too. all over the map.
There is a 29k km car on dutch markt plaats they offer for 69k and they just sold a 118k km 348 with rebuild engine for 39250
In the UK right now, the market for 348's has pretty much stalled. Cars with @ 50K miles on them are being priced at @ £60K, and lower mileage cars are being advertised at @ £65~£67K, but the market has gone quiet and nobody is buying. A couple of cars being sold privately have had their price reduced in a bid to make a sale, and a blue/Crema 348 TS that has been for sale for @ 9 months now at an independent specialist, has just been pulled from sale for a second time having had it's priced reduced twice already, because it's generating no interest whatsoever. Brexit hasn't helped the situation, and it's not just the 348 market that is now struggling.
