between the 348 and 355 I suggest to take in consideration only the 348 GTC !!! few cars of quality and collectable.
IMO i leave all the others and direct the selection towards a 328 if you wish a mechanical car or a 360 if you wish a modern car !
348 and 355 are in the transition era. I find more significant in the Ferrari history 308/328 and 360.

    on Fiorano 348 standard make the tour in 1 and 37 . 355 manual in 1 and 34 . 355 F1 in 1 and 33 and 360 in 1 and 30 (as F40!!!)
the difference is only 3 - 4 seconds.

Do they have anything to back this up? Dyno graphs, etc?

Unfortunatly no. Conversely, I can't find any owners who have a dyno showing the full 375bhp.

The people who have told me this have been one owner who had only 352bhp, a couple of specialists and one chap who is involved in the industry and who has dyno'd quit a few cars. According to him, even some 430's fresh from the factory are down 30bhp.

What I'm thinking and I am by no means an expert and am probably wrong... is that most 348/355's have cambelts done engine in here in the UK, which means they don't get the cam timing done. I know the timing on mine was out quite a bit which gave me a lot less power.

    Thanks Martin.

Reading up on fchat, 348/355's have around 18% transmission loss, so that equates to 398bhp.

don't get too excited. the track is significantly shorter than when the F40 was tested. a 360 is still many seconds a lap slower than an F40.

I did a search on here and found a couple 355s putting roughly 317 to 320-ish to the wheels which would seem to correlate to 375 at the crank, correct? Unfortunately none of them were stock (most had exhaust mods). Wish I could get a couple graphs for stock 355s...

The 2.7 (95) will easily pull 380 and with the chipping, no cats and tubi mine is around 400 and can take any factory 360.
